From the 6st - 8th of September 2014, Løgstør will be filled with genuine sailer atmosphere and magnificent wooden boats, when the town hosts the largest wooden-ship race of the North.
Tour de Limfjord, as this wooden ship regatta is called, has set out from Løgstør for the last 27 years - and 2014 will be no exception. More than 60 wooden ships participate in the celebrations in Løgstør, and the spectators will have an abundance of maritime activities to choose between. Gastronomy, music and an authentic maritime atmosphere is what you can look forward to, during three festive days in September.
During the weekend you can enjoy the many small boats called "smakkejollerne", as they enter into a battle of the Limfjord. On Monday, all the big ships begin to arrive at Løgstør Harbour. Here, the buzzing of the visiting sailors, and the forest of wooden masts on their ships creates a spectacular and authentic maritime atmosphere. On Tuesday morning, all the ships will be in Løgstør Harbour and the fierce race of the regatta can begin.
